RICEVILLE, IOWA - Marcia Ann Dohlman, 54, of Riceville, died on Sunday, August 7, 2011, at the Riceville Family Care Center where she had resided for a short time.

Funeral services for Marcia Ann Dohlman will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday August 10, at St Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville, with the the Rev. Michael Parris officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy and will continue at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service.

On August 7, 2011, after a year long battle with cancer, the Lord took to Heaven with him a very special angel in Marcia Ann Dohlman. Left behind to cherish her memories were her husband of 30 years, Ronald and two sons Matthew (wife Melissa) Dohlman of Waukee, Iowa, and Wesley Dohlman and (Special friend Samantha Madsen) of Riceville. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Eliana, Hayden and Davis. Other members of her immediate family are two sisters Dorean (Leland) Loppnow of Dodge Center, Minn., and Sharill Mueller of Rochester, Minn.; also two brothers-in-law Doug (Renae) Dohlman of LeRoy, Minn., and Lowell (Marge) Dohlman and a sister-in-law Darla (Dan) Koenigs of both of Riceville, along with many nieces and nephews.

Marcia Ann Mueller was born January 12, 1957, in Owatonna, Minn. She was the youngest daughter of Herbert and Edna (Buker) Mueller. She graduated from Clermont High School in 1975 and Rochester School of Practical Nursing in 1980. On Dec. 13, 1980, she was united in marriage to Ronald Dohlman in Clermont, Minn. After their marriage, Marcia worked at the Riceville Nursing Home until the birth of their first son. Before being diagnosed with cancer, Marcia had worked for Andy's Mini Mart in Riceville for approximately five years.

Her life revolved around her family, she loved going to anything her sons were involved in whether it was a sporting event or showing livestock at the fair. She was very proud of her two sons and her three grandchildren. Marcia enjoyed doing crafts and going camping. She also loved vacationing with her family to Branson, Mo., and Northern Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Allen, and father and mother-in-law, LeClair and Caroline Dohlman.
