MABIE FUNERAL SERVICES HELD
OSAGE GROCERY EMPLOYEE HEART DISEASE VICTIM;
MASONS IN BURIAL RITESOsage – Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Congregational church in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly for Ray Mabie, 47, who died suddenly at his home Saturday afternoon of heart disease.
Born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, he came to Osage as a young man. On April 4, 1915, he was married to Clara Richsmann and they have lived in Osage. For the past 10 years Mr. Mabie had a position at the Little Gem Grocery store.
He became a member of the Congregational church in 1915 and had been a member of Osage Lodge A.F. and A. N. since May 1932. He also belonged to the Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are his wife, his father, Fred Mabie of Cedar Falls; two brothers; Edward of Iowa City; and Rolland of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and a sister; Mrs. Philip Falk of Madison, Wisconsin
Burial with full Masonic rites was in the Osage Cemetery.Mason City Globe Gazette, Tuesday November 25, 1941
