MITCHELL GIRL
FOUND HANGED

OSAGE, IOWA -- A 20-year-old Mitchell girl was found hanged near the Cedar River Sunday afternoon.

Pamela Clayton, a 1966 Osage High School Graduate, was found by her mother near their farm home.

Miss Clayton, a member of the National Honor Society, was reported to have been under psychiatric care. She had recently been employed by an Osage nursing home.

Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Clayton; two sisters: Mrs. Irvin Hagen, Mrs. Jerry Gunderson, both of Osage; three brothers: Robert Jr. of Osage, Brian and Lyle, both at home; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Clayton and Mr. and Mrs. George Beyer, all of Mitchell.

Services are pending at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage.

Pamela was born on 5 OCT 1948 and died 21 SEP 1969. Daughter of Robert (Bob) and Dorothy Rose (Beyer) Clayton.

She is buried in the Osage City Cemtery. See photo of headstone on GPP.
