On December 19, 1869 she married George Lewis. Five children were born to them; Frank, George, John H., Deborah and William. Mr. Lewis died in Milbank on May 3, 1907. Three of the children are also deceased; William A. Geer of the first marriage; and Frank and Deborah Lewis of the 2nd marriage. Two sisters are still living in Wisconsin; Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. M. J. Conway.
Mrs. Lewis was the grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
She has all her life been a member of the Methodist Church and held a serene Christian Faith to the last. She was of a sweet and loveable disposition, an example of Him who she served.
Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon from the Methodist Church, Rev. L. L. Lane officiating and the remains were then taken to Osage, Iowa for internment, accompanied by her sons George of Aberdeen and William of this city.
