Stacyville: Anton Frein, 82, who pioneered here in 1885, died Wednesday after a brief illness. He farmed in the vicinity 50 years, later moving to town.
Surviving are his wife, daughters, Mr. Art Wolf, here, Mrs. Jess Wilson, Mrs. Bill Jordan of Garner, Mrs. Rudy Kasel of Marshalltown; sons, Father Fred Frein of Ball Town, Henry Frein here, Ed Frein of Marshalltown, Joe Frein of Osage, Mat Frein of McIntire and many grandchildren.

Anton Frein was born Novembe 15, 1858 in Germany. He married Mary Heimer., the daughter of Stephen John Heimer and Gertrude (Krebsbach) Heimer
