STACYVILLE, IOWA — Funeral services were conducted at Visitation Church for Joseph H. Heimer, 87, who died at Memorial Hospital in Osage. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Bohr read the Requiem Mass.

Mr. Heimer was born September 14, 1869, at Stacyville to Stephen and Gertrude Heimer. He was married to Elizabeth Smith on September 27, 1894, at Johnsburg, Minnesota. He was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name and St. Joseph societies.

Surviving are five sons, Arthur, Anton, Paul, Fred and Jerome, all of Stacyville; three daughters, Mrs. Mike (Anna) Retterath, McIntire; Marie Blake, Waterloo, and Mrs. Gilbert (Genevieve) Stiger, Detroit, Michigan, 31 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

His wife, four brothers and sisters and five children preceded him in death.
