Rites Conducted

STACYVILLE, IOWA — Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Visitation Church for Josephine Mayer, 83, who died Sunday evening. The Rev. Joseph Bohr was in charge of the Requiem Mass and burial was in the church cemetery.

Josephine Mueller was born June 3, 1873, at Johnsburg, Illinois, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller. She was married to Joseph Mayer November 17, 1892, in Visitation Church, Stacyville.

She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society and of the American Legion Auxiliary. They were parents of nine children, Martha, Mrs. Art Heimer, Leona, Marcella, Herbert, Ray, Ernest, Ralph, Michel and Edward.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her brothers and sister, her husband and one son, Michel.
