FUNERAL SERVICES AT OSAGE TUESDAY FOR FORMER PASTOR

Osage – Funeral services for the Rev. Amil Oestreich, 83, were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Baptist Church at Osage, with the Rev. Harm Rust of Worthington, Minn., and the Rev. Orville Mellquist of Osage officiating. Burial in the Osage Cemetery.

Mr. Oestereich, a retired Baptist Clergyman died at a nursing home in Nora Springs Saturday.

Born in Illinois, he came to Riceville with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Oestereich, at the age of 5. He received his theological training at Chicago.

In 1897 he was married to Georgia Snow of Osage. She died Wednesda, November 8th. He served pastorates at Duluth and Worthington, Cherokee and Greenfield, Iowa; Albion, Nebraska; and Bonestiel and Clear Lake, S. Dakota. He retired 12 years ago and lived at Osage.

The only survivor is a daughter, Mrs. Florence Jackson, of South Haven, Kansas.
