OSAGE, IOWA — Services for Laurence L. Champion, 64, of Osage will be 2 p.m. tomorrow at the First Congregational Church in Osage. Burial will be in Osage Cemetery.
He died Friday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage. He was affiliated with the C. R. Champion & Sons Funeral Directors and Furniture in Osage for nearly 50 years.
Survivors include one brother, Maurice K., of Osage and one sister, Mrs. Harvey Norby, of Osage.
The Champion Funeral Home in Osage is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Champion to Be WedOSAGE, IOWA — An October wedding is being planned by Miss Gladys Dieterichs, director of nursing services for the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.
Her engagement to Laurence L. Champion, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Champion is being announced by her father, Will Dieterichs.
St. John's Lutheran Church near Osage will be the setting for the high noon wedding on October 14.
Miss Dieterichs is a graduate of the school of nursing at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, and has served as supervisor for the former Nissen Hospital here and as head nurse in the tuberculosis department of the State University Hospital, Ann Arbor Micigan. She is co-author of a book on tuberculosis published by the McMillan, Co.; and is a past national board member of the Wa-Tan-Ye.
Mr. Champion is a graduate of the Cincinnati School of Morticians, Cincinnati, Ohio, and is co-owner of the Champion & Sons Furniture and Funeral Home here.
