FUNERAL FOR EGAN WILL BE SATURDAY AT OSAGE
Osage – Funeral services will be held here at 9 o’clock Saturday morning at Sacred Heart church in charge of Father Baxter for William H. Egan, 74, who died Thursday morning at his home following an illness of several months.
Mr. Egan was one of the pioneer farmers of this community. His wife died four years ago and since that time his daughter, Margaret Egan, has kept house for him.
Surviving are three daughters; Margaret of Osage; Mrs. Ray Supple of Monticllo; Mrs. Ralph Fox of Orchard.
Burial will be in the local cemetery.

#2:OBITUARY.
William Henry Egan
William Henry Egan was born in Highland, Wisconsin, August 28, 1861, and passed away at his home on north Seventh Street, following a lingering illness, October 22, 1936.
He grew to manhood and received his early education in the schools of Highland. Later he was a telegraph operator at Marcus, Iowa, and for a time he was employed in St. Paul, Minnesota.
His marriage to Miss Margaret Dowd took place at Blooming Prairie, Minnesota on October 14, 1896. They settled on a farm near Osage, where they lived for 15 years. Here their three daughters, Margaret, Gertrude and Catherine were born.
Later they moved to their present home in Osage, where they have resided for the past 26 years. Mrs. Egan passed away four years ago, and since then Gertrude has been housekeeper at the parental home.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church, of which he had long been a devoted and faithful member. he was followed to his last resting place at Sacred Heart Cemetery by a large number of relatives and friends who came for the last time to pay honor to a kind and loving father, a true friend, a sincere Christian, and a good neighbor.
Those left to mourn his loss are his daughters --Mrs. Ray Supple, of Hopkinton, Gertrude, at home, and Mrs. Ralph Fox, Orchard; his eight little grandchildren, and his sister, Mrs. Lydia Norton, of St. Paul.

William Henry Egan was born August 28, 1861 (according to his great granddaughter Molly Egan Storck), the son of John Egan and Mary (McCarthy) Egan. He married Margaret Dowd.
