OSAGE VICTIM OF STREET CAR DIES.
MRS. HALLINGBY’S BODY BROUGHT BACK FROM LOS ANGELES FOR BURIAL

Osage, Dec. 24 – Mrs. Ole Hallingby, who died at the home of a son in Los Angeles last Wednesday, the result of being struck some time ago by a street car, was buried here Saturday following a funeral at the Immanuel Lutheran church. The Rev. A. Framstad was in charge. The immediate cause of death is said to have been pneumonia. Burial was alongside her husband.

Ingeborg Johanneson was born March 12, 1849, in Lillehammen, Norway. At the age of 18 she came to this country to live with her sister, Mrs. Christian Rustad, of St. Ansgar, making the trip across in a sailing vessel.

In 1870 she was married to Ole Hallingby and has lived here ever since, the last 58 years in the same house at Sixth and Chestnut streets.

To this union nine children were born; Ole of Los Angeles; Mrs. Jennie Murphy, Osage; Mrs. Dora Strehlow, Kindred, N. Dak.; Mrs. Clara Ottis, Wyndmere, N. Dak.; Mrs. Ina Keup, who died in 1919; Mrs. Mary Sorenson, Bismarck, N. Dak.; Paul, Los Angeles; Josephine, who died in childhood; Mrs. Ruth Fresh, Worchester, Mass.; also nine grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ondrea Rudlang, Walcott, N. Dak.
