Jesse (Bacon) Lee –1878-1951

FORMER NORTH IOWAN BURIED AT ST. ANSGAR

Osage – Committal rites were held at St. Ansgar Sunday for a former Mitchell county resident, Mrs. Judson F. Lee, 72, who died April 13 at Ottawa, Kansas.

She was formerly Jessie Bacon, daughter of Charles and Henrietta Bacon in Mitchell County.

Mrs. Lee’s early years were spent in northern Mitchell county. She came to Osage with her parents in her teens attended the Cedar Valley seminary in Osage and was graduated from Des Moines university and taught at Sac City.

Survivors include her husband, who is an instructor in Ottawa University, two sons and a sister, Mrs. D. I. Coon, Los Angeles, California.
