Lois J (Hanson) Klouse 1929-2006

Lois J. Klouse, 77, of 1818 Cerro Gordo Way, died Sunday, June 18, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, 119 S. Georgia Ave., with the Rev. Jo Frahm Watkins and the Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and continue at the church one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to the Lois J. Klouse Memorial Fund.

Lois was born June 17, 1929, in Gettysburg, South Dakota, the daughter of Fred and Wilhelmina (Kempf) Hanson. She graduated from Gettysburg High School and later attended college in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Lois married James A. Jenson in 1950 and together had three sons. Lois taught school for a short time, was a stay-at-home mother and would later work for Montgomery Wards in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She married Ervin Klouse on August 1, 1981, in Sioux Falls. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Lois is survived by her husband, Ervin of Mason City; three sons, Randy (Cheri) Jensen of Sioux Falls, Steven (Barb) Jensen of Medford, New Jersey, Mark (Beth) Jensen of Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Rosse Hanson of Gettysburg, Myrtle (Eldon) Robbins of Longview, Washington; one brother, Howard (Del) Hanson of Oneida, South Dakota; four stepsons: Curtis (Nan) Klouse of Mason City, Craig (Janet) Klouse of Mason City, Corey (Karen) Klouse of Mason City, Chad Klouse of Mason City; one stepdaughter, Cheryl (Bob) Powell of Mason City; 12 stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Maurice.
