Funeral services for Louis A. Lorenzen, 85, of St. Ansgar, who died at the Osage Nursing Home Sunday, December 19, were held Wednesday, December 22 at the Schroeder & Dunn Funeral Home here with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad, pastor of First Lutheran church, officiating.
Louis A. Lorenzen was born March 20, 1891 in St. Ansgar, the son of Peter and Anna (Schoot) Lorenzen. He was one of seven children, six boys and a girl. Mr. Lorenzen attended elementary school in St. Ansgar, and after serving in the armed forces of his country during World War I, attended State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. He taught school in Colorado and Nebraska until he retired in 1960, and came to live in St. Ansgar with his sister.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and four brothers. He is survived by his twin brother, Will of Cedar Falls.
Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in charge of committal services.
