HAROLD CHARLES LIBERSKY

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Harold Charles Libersky, 81, died Thursday (March 2, 2000) at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating. Burial will be in First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.
Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School St., St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements, (515) 736-4920.

Funeral services for Harold Charles Libersky, 81, of St. Ansgar, who died Thursday, March 2, 2000 at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, were held Monday, March 6 at First Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating.

Harold was born on April 25, 1918 in Mitchell County to Frank and Georgia Zemanek Libersky. He lived his entire life in the St. Ansgar area.

On June 22, 1940 he was united in marriage to Erlis Everson at the Mona Lutheran Church. Harold owned and operated Libersky Auto Repair for 45 years. After retirement, he continued to spend his days in the shop. During the earlier and again in his later years, Harold took pleasure in riding the dozen Harley Davidson and Indian motorcycles he owned. From the mid 1930's to the early 1940's Harold's Accordion Band played for many wedding dances and in area ballrooms.

Harold is survived by his wife, Erlis of St. Ansgar; daughters Diane and husband Tom Borden of Oakdale, Minnesota, and Donna Thebiay of Hayward, Minnesota; a son, Steven of St. Ansgar; grandchildren Rod and JoAnn Borden, Roseville, Minnesota, Susan and Paul Engelen of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Cheryl and Bart Schulze of North Branch, Minnesota, Scott Thebiay and special friend Julia Huston of Hayward, Minnesota; great grandchildren Tommy, A.J. and Zachery Borden, Roseville, Minnesota, Elissa Weis and Danielle Engelen of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; brothers Howard Libersky of Okeechobee, Florida, and Harland Libersky and wife Cleo of St. Ansgar, Kenneth and wife Annette of Spring Lake, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial was in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.
