JOHN P. KLINDT FUNERAL HELD AUGUST 19

Funeral services for John P. Klindt, 37, who died Sunday, August 16, 1970 at Rochester, Minn., were held Wednesday, August 19 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating.

John Peter Klindt was born October 7, 1932 in Mitchell county, the son of Chris and Esther (Gutmann) Klindt.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran church, St. Ansgar. As a boy he lived on a farm northeast of St. Ansgar. He graduated from the Spring Valley elementary school in 1947 and St. Ansgar high school in 1951. After high school he completed a course at Hamilton Business College in Mason City.

John Klindt married the former Twilla Pedersen November 25, 1965. They made their home in St. Ansgar where he was employed by the L.R. Falk Const. Co. They were members of the First Lutheran church where he was currently serving as Sunday School superintendent.

He is survived by his wife, Twilla, and four children, Christine, 9; Steven, 3; Michele, 2; Kevin 4 1/2 months; one brother, Victor of White Bear Lake, Minn.; three nephews.

Burial was in St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Comnick in charge of the committal service.
