Final Rites Held For Emma Pahl, 60
Funeral services were held yesterday at 1:45 p.m. at Champion's funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran church for Mrs. Emma Pahl, 60, with the Rev. David P. Bergmann officiating. Burial was at the St. Ansgar cemetery.
Mrs. Pahl died last Saturday at the Good Samaritan home in Mason City, after suffering for several year from arthritis.
She was born November 26, 1893, in Rock township, to Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Jordan, the first of a family of eight. She received her education in the Rock township public school.
On November 26, 1904, she was married to Rudolph Pahl and to this union three children-two girls and one boy - were born. The couple farmed near Grafton for many years.
The couple moved to St. Ansgar in 1937 and then to Osage in 1944. They returned to their present residence southeast of St. Ansgar in 1950.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Pahl is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Svend Pedersen (Olga) and Mrs. Robert Brand (Lucille); one son, Orville, in the armed forces; three brothers, Ferdinand, Jr. of St. Ansgar, George of St. Ansgar and William, who lives in California; three sisters, Mrs. Otto Bublitz (Babetta) of Grafton, Mrs. Herman Krueger (Meta) of Grafton and Mrs. Francis Cross (Laura) of Like Oak, Calif.; five grandchildren and several other relatives.
Two brothers, August and William, and one grandson, Robert Pedersen, preceded her in death.
