Rites Held Tuesday For Roy Cerney, 45

Roy Cerney, son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Cerney, 45, died July 10 at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester of a tumor of the brain.

Funeral services were held in Cedar Falls at 2 o'clock, July 13, at the Cedar Heights Community church. Services were conducted by the Rev. Richard Dieken and he was buried in the Greenwood cemetery in Cedar Falls.

Roy Cerney was born July 12, 1907 in Clarksville. He worked for John Deere for over 24 years.

He is survived by his wife Alice, whom he married July 6, 1935, and two sons, Dennis and James Cerney II, one sister Gladys (Mrs Arthur)
Ponzke) of Elgin, Illinois, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James L. Cerney.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Borsheim of St. Ansgar, Mr. and Mrs. H. Halverson and Mrs. Borie Heard of Osage were relatives attending from here. Many other relatives and friends also attended.
