Cresco – Funeral services for Ray Steiger, 67, were held Wednesday morning at the Assumption Catholic Church here. Burial was in St. Johns Cemetery north of Stacyville.

Steiger died Sunday evening at a Wilmar, Minnesota Hospital while visiting in Wilmar.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Raymond, Minneapolis, and a daughter, Marianne Montague, also of Minneapolis, and one grandchild.
The Peckosh Funeral Home is in charge.

Raymond Francis Steiger was born June 2, 1896 in Stacyville, Mitchell, Iowa, the son of Frank Steiger and Veronica (Pint) Steiger. He married Kathryn Flynn in 1929, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Flynn of DeGraff. (from a 1929 newspaper announcement)
