Former Osage Woman Succumbs to Illness

Osage, Iowa -- Funeral services were pending for Mrs. Mathilda Erbe, 61, formerly of Osage, who died Friday morning at a hospital in Kenosha, Wis. She underwent major surgery in November, 1950. The body is at the Champion Funeral home.

Mrs. Erbe was born at Springdale, Wisconsin, to Edward and Barbara Segessenman, spent her girlhood in Wisconsin and on March 24, 1909, was married to Judson Erbe. They made their home west of Osage, and then lived in Osage until 1948. She then left for Kenosha to make her home with her daughters.

Survivors include her aged mother at Osage; three daughters: Mrs. Knute Storlie and Mrs. Stanley Bareika, of Kenosha, and Mrs. Herbert Mason of Minot, North Dakota; two brothers, Harold of Springfield, Oregon, and Forrest of Osage; and seven grandchildren.
