taken by death

Last rites for a Stacyville woman, Josephine Meinert, 72, who died at the rest home there, December 29, were held at Visitation Catholic Church last Wednesday. The Revered Carl Manternach, pastor, was in charge of the funeral mass. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Arrangements were by Hatten and Sons Funeral Home.

Josephine Meinert was born in Stacyville April 6, 1908, the daughter of Anton and Catherine Weiling Meinert. She attended Visitation grade school and was an employee of the Falk Nursing Home in Stacyville for many years.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Louis (Mary) Schmitt of St. Lucas; three sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents.
