Hilda Devida Skogoboe Bly

Birth: Sep. 23, 1901
Roland, Story County, Iowa.

Death: Oct. 7, 1980
Osage, Mitchell County, Iowa.

Hilda Devida Skogoboe was born on a farm near Roland Iowa, along with five sisters and one brother. She married Ellis Bly and raised their family of six children in Iowa and spent most of their years in Mitchell. She loved to cook and bake, especially Norwegian dishes.

Hildas Funeral was held at the Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell on October 10, 1980. The Rev. Robert Kruempel officiated. "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were sung by Lori Shields and Mrs. Everett White accompanied on the organ.

Casket bearers were: Tom Prantner, Jody Roll, Dennis Tabor, Joe Bly, Jan Bly and Dennis Beyer.
