Ina Carlson Died Monday Morning;

Ina Carlson one of Rock Creek's talented women passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. C. J. Carlson, Monday after an illness that extended over nine years.

Ina Luella Carlson was born November 19, 1894, in Rudd township, Floyd county, Iowa,the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. C. J. Carlson. She received her education in the rural school in her community later attending the Cedar Valley seminary in Osage for one year. Her ambition was to study music and she completed a course in the standard ----- system, later teaching a small class.

She was of a quiet nature and enjoyed her home life. Ina has been her mother's constant companion through the many trials Mrs. Carlson has been called upon to bear.

The deceased was a member of the Rock Creek Lutheran church, having been baptized and confirmed early in life. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid society.

Ina had enjoyed good health until about nine years ago when she suffered a severe attack of influenza, which left her in a very weakened condition. In 1932 her doctor advised her to take a complete rest, and she responded to treatment fairly well. She bore her illness with the utmost courage and was ever hopeful of a complete recovery in time.
