Countian, is Dead

Mrs. Lottie Towner received word yesterday of the death of her mother, Mrs. E. S. Fonda, who had passed away the day before at the home of another daughter, Mrs. Nelson McCook, at Long Beach, Calif.

Mrs. Fonda and her husband were among the prominent early settlers of this county, coming here in 1860. Mr. Fonda operated for many years an implement shop where the Casey & Chatman implement businesses are now located, and they took an active part in the business and social affairs of the county.

Mrs. Fonda left Osage about twelve years ago, and made her home with her children since her husband's death in 1918. She was 87 years of age.

Three daughters survive: Mrs. Lottie Towner, Osage; Mrs. Nelson McCook,Long Beach, Calif.; and Mrs. Oscar S. Albertson, of Austin, Minn.
