Fred Pint Died
Suddenly Monday
at Nissen HospitalThe community was shocked Tuesday morning to learn that Fred Pint, 41, had died suddenly the night before at the Nissen hospital Mr. Pint was manager of the Cedar Valley Produce company's up-town station, went to the hospital two weeks ago for a simple operation, from which he had apparently made a good recovery.
Soon after he returned home, however, he developed pluerisy and was taken back to the hospital. He had overcome that and was to have been taken back home Tuesday. Monday evening his wife and two children visited him and found him cheerful and comfortable. He died at 10 o'clock, within a few moments from the time he was stricken, from embolism.
He was born in Mitchell county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Pint**, the former of whom preceded him in death, and has lived his entire life in this county. He married Margaret Bodensteiner, and she had their six children, the eldest about 12, and the youngest seven months, survive.
The children are: Norbert, James, Betty, Dolores, Mary and Patricia. Surviving also is his mother and his sisters and brothers as follows: Mrs Carrie Hutchcroft, of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Gertrude Colton, Osage; Mrs. Bertha Michels, Stacyville; Mrs. Margaret McGrane, Elma; Mrs. Ida Novotny, Osage; and Tony and Frank Pint, of Elma; William Pint, of Floyd; Joe Pint, Decorah, and John and Lawrence Pint, Osage.
