RITES HELD FOR OSAGE DRUGGIST
LEZOTTE WHO DIED AT BOONE EASTERN START HOME WAS 50 YEAR MASON

Osage, March 13. – Charles H. Lezotte, former Osage druggist of the firm of Samson and Lezotte, who died Sunday at the Eastern Start Home at Boone, where he and his wife resided since January 1933 was buried Tuesday afternoon. He had been in failing health for some time.

Mr. Lezotte was born in Haverhill, N. Car., January 9, 1857, coming to Osage at the age of 16. On October 3, 1882, he was married to Jessie L. Moran.

His wife, two children, Dana M. of New Hampton; and George V. of South Milwaukee; a brother, Dr. George D. Lezotte of Muscatine, and four grandchildren survive.

Mr. Lezotte studied pharmacy under the late J. F. Dailey, Osage pharmacist, and about 30 years ago formed a partnership with Frank Sampson in that business here.

Mr. Lezotte was a 50 year Mason at Osage, a member of the local Blue Lodge, the Commandery, and a charter member of Bethany chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of the local Odd Fellows’ for many years.

Services in charge of J. D. Kern were held at the Champion Funeral Home, followed by a Masonic Commitment service at Osage Cemetery.
