JAMES PHILLIPS

McIntire – James Phillips, 77, was found dead at his home here by his brother-in-law, Archie McClain. Death was caused by a heart attack. Services were held Wednesday at the McIntire Methodist Church. Burial was in the Wayne Cemetery.

Surviving are two brothers, Irving, Valentine, Nebraska; Lawrence, Cedar Falls.

James Daniel Phillips was the son of Peter Phillips and Kate (Aspel) Phillips (1925 Iowa Census for his parents names).
He married Eunice McClain, the daughter of Jerome McClain and Nettie (Emmerson) McClain.(1925 Iowa Census for her parents names)
