Funeral services for Mrs. Thea Hatfield, 61, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Osage Lutheran Church by the Reverend Luther Berven. Interment was at First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.
Mrs. Hatfield died suddenly from a paralytic stroke at the Ernest Voeklander home at Little Cedar Sunday morning while she was preparing to attend church.
She was born Thea Sophia Kittleson, daughter of Lars and Betsy Kittleson at St. Ansgar, February 3, 1892. She lived there until she and Jay Hatfield were married December 2, 1914. They lived at St. Ansgar, Osage and in Minneapolis. Mrs. Hatfield became a member of Osage Lutheran church and retained her membership there.
She was employed a number of years in various homes. She was active in the Royal Neighbors and the Rebekahs.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Leon Rodemaker**, of Osage and two brothers, Ben Kittleson of Austin and Floyd of St. Ansgar.
