BOY 12 IS HIT BY TRUCK; DIES
YOUTH RIDING BICYCLE WHEN RUN OVER; MISHAP DECLARED ACCIDENTALOsage – Keith Leeman, 12, died in a physician’s office here Saturday from injuries suffered when he was knocked down and run over by a truck while cycling west of here.
The boy, son of Mrs. And Mrs. William Leeman of Osage, was riding on his bicycle with two other boys when the accident happened.
Leonard Smalley, driver of the truck, said he took to the ditch in an attempt to miss the boys but the rear wheel of the truck struck Keith and ran over him.
Sheriff Charles Kathan of Mitchell county termed the mishap as accidental and said an inquest would not be held.
Surviving are his parents, five brothers and a sister. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

ACCIDENT VICTIM IS BURIED IN CEMETERY AT OSAGE AFTER RITESOsage – Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Champion Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. John D. Kern of the Osage Baptist church for Keith Leeman who was killed when struck by a truck here Saturday.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Leeman and five brothers and one sister. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
