MRS. SPRAGUE WILL BE BURIED IN OSAGE

Osage – G. H. Sawyer received word of the death of his aunt, Mrs. Hattie Sprague, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Lein in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Sprague and her husband, the late M. A. Sprague, were old and influential residents of Osage. Mr. Sprague built the Sprague block which was recently sold to J. E. Whitney and Arthur Olson. Mr. Sprague operated a lumber yard here where the Young Lumber company now stands and then later they moved to Sprague where they operated a sawmill. The town was named for Mr. Sprague.
