MRS. TREMAINE, 79, DIES; RITES SET FOR FRIDAY

Osage – The body of Mrs. Harry Tremaine, 79, will arrive Thursday from Long Beach, California. Funeral arrangements have been made for 2 p.m. Friday at the Champion Funeral Home with burial in the Osage Cemetery. She had been ill for some time before her death Sunday at Long Beach.

Mrs. Tremaine was born as Agnes Judd in March 1878, in Mitchell County to Mr. and Mrs. George Judd. She was married to Clyde Smith in 1896 and lived in Mitchell County until his death in 1943. She went to California in 1945 where she married Harry Tremaine.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Berley, Covinia, California; three daughters, Lucille Buttolph, Osage; Mrs. George (Irma) Buck, Redonda Beach, Calif.; and Mrs. Howard (Gail) Dexter, Waterloo; one sister Olive Lacy, Los Angeles; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
