John F May 1906 - 1949

OSAGE, IOWA – Funeral rites will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mound, Minnesota, for a former Osage and Stacyville resident, John May, 44, who was found dead Saturday noon by relatives whom he was visiting at Kilkenny Minnesota. Burial will be in Mount Cemetery.

He was born at Stacyville, to Nick and Josephine Isaac May, spent boyhood there and graduated from Visitation school. He attended Mankato Business college.

He married Vera Stangler and the couple first lived at Stacyville, then in Osage and Mason City and for the last eight years at Mound, Minnesota, employee of Northern Pump Co.

He leaves his wife and four children; Joyce, Jean, James and Jack; one grandchild, and a sister; Mrs. Anton Hemann, Stacyville.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and a brother, Louis May.
