Leo M Baker 1901 -1950
Osage – Leo Baker, 49, former Osage resident died at his home at Long Beach, California, Wednesday of cancer having been ill the last year. Funeral was Friday at Long Beach.
He was born in Armington Illinois, to George and Delia Baker in September 1901. In 1912 the family moved to Osage where the deceased lived until 1922. He was a partner in an oil station now known as the Erdman Oil Co. He settled in Long Beach, where he was employed by Southern Pacific Transport Co. He married Frances Martin of Long Beach.
He leaves his widow, mother, Mrs. Delia Baker, Little Cedar; four sisters; Mrs. Fred Kaufman, Chicago; Mrs. Jess LeMaster, Waterloo; Mrs. James Campbell, Catawaba, Wis.; and Mrs. Maurice Hudson, Osage; eight brothers, Ralph, Kennen, Wis.; Clifford, Hawkins Wis.; Burt, Catawaba, Wis.; John, Park Falls, Wis.; Homer, Chicago, Ill.; Lloyd, Seattle, Wash.; Willis, Dixon, Ill.; and Edgar of Muskegon Mich.
