AGED RESIDENT DIES AT OSAGE
FUNERAL SET THURSDAY FOR OSCAR A FRANK 80Osage – Funeral services for Oscar A. Frank, 80, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Champion funeral home, the Rev. Glen Hartong, Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Osage cemetery. He died Sunday evening at his home in Osage.
He was born at Manchester, was married to Edith Godden in 1886 and they established their first home in Clayton County. His wife died in 1888. In the following year he was married to her sister Isabella who survives. They lived in Delaware and Clayton counties before coming to Mitchell County about 1900, living at Stacyville, Orchard and Osage. He farmed for a time, then worked on the railroad.
Survivors include 8 children: Benjamin O. of Bethel, Conn.; Mrs. Joseph Krones; Mrs. Edward Arp; Edward; and Mrs. Lawrence Squier, all of Osage; Mrs. Earl Squier, Orchard; Mrs. Leo Behrent, Kent, Ohio; and Mrs. Eugene Harson of Clarion; and a brother, Lewis of Marion.
