FUNERAL AT RICEVILLE FOR MUSIC INSTRUCTOR
Riceville – Funeral services were held Friday in the Congregational church for Miss Elizabeth Irvin who died at her home Wednesday. The Rev. Jonas Priestley, pastor, officiated.
Miss Irvin, daughter of James and Elizabeth Irvin, pioneer settlers of Howard County, was born near Riceville September 10, 1883. She spent all of her life in and near Riceville.
Miss Irvin was a graduate of the conservatory of music, Minneapolis, and for many years had been a successful piano instructor. She was a member of the Congregational church of Riceville.
Surviving are 2 brothers; James E., and Arthur Irvin, of Riceville; and 2 sisters, Mrs. M. A. Brown of Forest City and Mrs. M. E. McCook of Waterloo.
