Addie E (nee Sayles) St. John 1850-1936
MRS.ST. JOHN FUNERAL CONDUCTED IN RICEVILLE
Riceville – Funeral services for Mrs. R. T. St. John were held in the Congregational church Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Jonas Priestley preached the sermon and was assisted in the rites by the Rev. E. Bodenham. Mrs. E. Rex Moore, a granddaughter, played at the piano.
Mrs. St. John, 86, had been confined to her bed for some years because of a paralytic stroke.
She and her husband who survived her, had been married nearly 70 years.
Besides her husband she leaves one son, Earl, seven grandchildren, and one great granddaughter, Jacqueline Moore. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.Mason City Globe Gazette, Tuesday, Mary 26, 1936

Addie (Sayles) was born November 14, 1850 in Illinois, the daughter of Daniel and Maran (Sherman) Sayles. She married Robert Thomas St. John, the son of John St. John and Nancy (Foster) St. John.
