HEMANN, Winifred

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1984 at theVisitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, for Mrs. Winifred G. Hemann, 85, a lifelong resident who died on Saturday, February 18, 1984 at a Stacyville nursing home.

The Rev. Carl Manternack officiated at the service, and burial was in Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville.

Hatten and Sons Funeral Home, Stacyville, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hemann was born on June 13, 1898, in Stacyville, to John and Kathryn (Hartong) Gilles. She married Fred Hemann on November 27, 1919 in Stacyville, and had lived there since. She had been a resident of the Stacyville nursing home for five months.

Mrs. Hemann is survived by four daughters: Agnes Weber, Austin, Minnesota; Gertrude Mostek, St. Ansgar; Mary Jeanne Mauer, Riceville, and Janet Wilson, Osage; three sons: Alfred and Wilmer, both of Austin, and Robert, Stacyville; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
