MRS. INEZ BAILIFF OF MINNEAPOLIS,
FORMERLY OF CARDIFF, IS BURIED

Osage, Iowa – The body of Mrs. Inez Bailiff, widow of the late Elwood Bailiff of Minneapolis, was brought here for burial Monday afternoon. She died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frances Welch. Will Bailiff, a foster son, also survives.

Mrs. Bailiff lived for many years at Cardiff in Burr Oak township, where her husband owned a general store. The funeral was held in Minneapolis and a short service at the grave was conducted by the Rev. Mrs. Jennie Hitchcock at the Osage Cemetery.

Inez (Marsh) Bailiff was born October 29, 1853 in Illinois, the daughter of Marcus and Mary Marsh.

She married Elwood Bailiff 1851-1925, the son of William Bailiff and Frances (Spencer) Bailiff.
