Died at Home of
Daughter SundayMrs. Gus Troge passed away on Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ingvald Johnson, after an illness of many months. She had been brought from her farm home to town to be near her doctor. She was only 47 years of age, being born in this county, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm Hartwig, and as Miss Alvina Hartwig received her education in the local schools.
Her marriage to Gus [Gustav] Troge took place June 2, 1909.
Surviving besides her husband are five daughters; Mrs. Johnson, Hildegarde (Dr. Sam Savre's assistant), Hulda, Darlene, Verena and one granddaughter, Dolores Johnson.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church in charge of the Reverend F. A. Brauer, and burial was made in the nearby cemetery.

On April 19, 1936, the Almighty God called out of this vale of tears, unto her eternal rest, Mrs. Alvina Bertha Clara Troge. She was born near Osage, Iowa, September 18, 1888, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hartwig. After a lingering illness she peacefully fell asleep Sunday at 8 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ingvald Johnson at the age of 27 years, 7 months, 1 day.
She was baptized October 7, 1888, and confirmed May 11, 1902 in St. John's Lutheran Church. On June 2, 1909 she was united in marriage with Gustav Troge; this union being blessed with five daughters.
She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and children -- Mrs. Wilma Johnson, Hildegarde, Hulda, Verena and Darlene. One granddaughter, Delores Johnson; one brother, four sisters, and other relatives and many friends.
