Ella Bjork Dock 1860 - 1956
Ella Bjork Dock passed away at 3:15 p.m. May 24, 1956, at her home in West Palm Beach, Florida, at the age of 95 years, 6 months, 22 days. She was born October 2, 1860, at Sogendahl, Norway, the daughter of Andrew and Christie Bjork.
She was baptized in the Lutheran Faith at Sogendahl, Norway, immigrated to America at the age of 3 years, and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Ansgar, Iowa, about 1874, by the Reverend Olson.
She was united in marriage with Peder Dock, Jr., on May 15, 1889, at the home farm at Mona, Iowa, by the Reverend J. Muller Eggen.
Mrs. Dock leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Mrs. John M. Hall (Enid) and Mrs. Esther Baker, West Palm Beach, Florida; two grandchildren, Mrs. Gwendolyn Parsons, Fort Pierce, Glorida, and Mrs. Elaine Jones, Neptune Beach, Florida; two great-grandchildren, Carla Lin, and Bibson Inman Jones, Neptune Beach, a brother, Albert Bjork, Willmar, Minnesota.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Peder Dock; and four children: Palmer, Claude, Raymond and Edna.
Short services were held Friday evening at West Palm Beach Chapel, the Reverend Wilham Dowler officiating, at 2 p.m. Monday, May 28, 1956, at the Jordan Chapel, the Reverend S. O. Stenson officiating.
Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Mona, Iowa.
