Addie (nee Turpin) Williams
May 10, 1885 – July 2, 1949#1:
OSAGE, IOWA – Funeral Rites will be on Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the Champion funeral home for Mrs. Price Williams, 64, who died at the Mercy hospital, Mason City, midnight, July 2 of embolism. She had suffered a stroke on Thanksgiving day.
Burial to be in the Osage Cemetery.
Born on May 10, 1885, daughter of Harvey and Sally (Long) Turpin near Richmond, Kentucky. She resided there as a girl, and in 1900 married Price Williams. The couple established their first home near Richmond, living there until 1920, when they lived near Chillicothe, Illinois, for a two year period.
They came to farm north of Osage in 1922, where they lived until 18 months ago, when they retied to McIntire.
Survivors include her husband at McIntire; two daughters; Mrs. Merle Lockie, McIntire; and Mrs. Kenneth Knapp, Little Cedar; a son, Claude Williams, McIntire; three grandchildren; three brothers; John Turpin, Chicago; Henry, Waco, Kentucky; and Vernon of Winston, Kentucky, and three sisters; Mrs. James Driscoll, Ft. Worth, Texas; Mrs. Maude Thomas, Richmond, Kentucky, and Mrs. John Pelston, Louisville, Kentucky.
Preceding her in death is one sister, Mrs. Alice Grinstead.Waterloo Daily Courier, Monday, July 4, 1949
