FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR WILLIAM HENRY BOHNEMAN

William Henry Bohneman was born in Germany August 10, 1859, and departed this life March 30, 1943, at the age of 63 years, 5 months and 14 days. He passed away in the home of his daughter, MRs. A. W. Vollbrecht, after a lingering sickness.

In the year 1881 he led Miss Minnie Schahn to the altar. The young couple emigrated to America in 1884 and settled near Riceville, Mitchell County, Iowa. For 60 years Mr. Bohneman was privileged to watch the growth of Riceville and the development of the surrounding territory.

Mr. and Mrs. Bohneman were blessed by the Lord with nine children: Bertha (Mrs. A. W. Vollbrecht), of Riceville; Lena, (Mrs. Wm. Haupt), of New Hampton; William, Riceville, Amil, Charles City; Henry, Riceville. These together with five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, mourn his passing.

His wife and four children preceded him in death.

Baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, he remained true to his church and faith and is now, by the Grace of God, with Him who he confessed in this life.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 2, from the Loper Funeral Home and the Lutheran church, in charge of Rev. Walter Leckband.
