RITES HELD FOR RICEVILLE YANK
PVT. HAROLD BOHNEMAN DIES OF HEART ATTACKRiceville – Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Wednesday for Pvt. Harold Bohneman, 24, who died Saturday at Camp Crowder, Mo., from a heart attack following mumps and pneumonia.
Pvt. Bohneman’s wife and mother, Mrs. Henry Bohneman, had started for Camp Crowder, Saturday, but were stopped at Manly by the death message.
The body arrived in Riceville Monday accompanied by a military escort.
Pvt. Bohneman was born at Riceville December 25, 1920, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bohneman. He entered the army April 17, 1945, and was stationed most of the time at Camp Crower.
He was married to Kathleen Murphy September 7, 1940
Surviving besides his widow are 2 small children, Janice Anne, 3 years; and James not quite a year old, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bohneman, and one brother; Pvt. Gervis Bohneman in the south Pacific.
