Lambert Brost,66, Dies This Morning
Rozelville Farmer Succumbs to
Long Illness: Rites WednesdayRozelville - Lambert Brost, 66 who for the past 17 years has made his home on a farm one-half mile north of Rozelville, died at 1 o'clock this morning at his home after an illness of several months. He had suffered with cancer and dropsy.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Andrew's Catholic church with the Ref. Henry Lachnit officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.Mr. Brost was born in Marytown, Wisconsin, on April 17, 1870, the son of John Brost and Katherine (Brumm) Brost. On October 4, 1894,he was married to Miss Margaret May, the daughter of Peter May and Katherine (Gerhartz) May at Staceyville, Iowa. After their marriage the couple moved to Meyer, Iowa, later going to North Dakota to make their home on a farm. They came to the present farm home 17 years ago and have resided there since.
Surviving are his widow and 11 children: Mrs. Mike (Christina) Nosbisch,Edgar; Mrs. Ralph (Martha) Brus, Iowa; Mrs. William ( Stella) Schmitt,Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Linzmeier, Blenker; Lawrence, Marshfield;
Ernest, Arpin; Mrs. Alois (Loretta) Griesbach, Leo, and Mrs. Joe (Isabelle)Folz, all of Rozelville; and Delphine and Delphina, at home.
There are 22 grandchildren.He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. H. Ganser, Stacyville, Iowa.;Mrs. John Jasper, Minnesota; and Sister M. Stella, at an Iowa convent and three brothers, John, Canby, Minn, Matt, Los Angeles, Calif. and Anton, St.
