KATHERINE (nee BRUMM) BROST -- 1844-1923

DEATH SUMMONS AGED RESIDENT SUNDAY MORNING;

Mrs. Katherine Brost died at 11:05 oclock Sunday morning after a four weeks illness.

The deceased was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 5, 1844, the daughter of Lorenz Brumm and Margaretha (Knurr) Brumm.

For the last six years she resided in Dubuque. Prior to coming to Dubuque, she resided at New Hampton and Staceyville, IA.

She is survived by her husband, John Brost; three daughters, Mrs. Hillard Ganser of Stacyville, Iowa, Mrs. John K. Jasper of Bovey, Minnesota, and Sister Mary Stella of the Order of St Mary's school; also six sons, Joseph A. of Milwaukee, Lambert of Stratford, Wisconsin, John of Canby, Minnesota, George of Walker, Minnesota, Matt of North St. Paul and Anton of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Mrs. Brost was a member of the Catholic Church. The requiem mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning in the chapel of St. Francis Home for the aged.

Burial will be made in Mt. Calvary.
