Mary Olivia (Pint) Adams 1899-1980
Mary Adams passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 1980, at the age of 81.
Mary Olivia Pint was born September 27, 1899 in Mitchell County, Iowa, one of the ten children of William Pint and Anna (Gilles) Pint. The Pint family lived in Adams Township, Minnesota for a while, moving to Mitchell County Iowa, near Riceville around 1897 and later to a farm northwest of New Haven. They were members of St. Peters Church In new Haven.
She married Nicholas Adams on April 24, 1918 at St. Peter’s Church in New Haven, Mitchell, Iowa and the couple established their home in Stacyville. Shortly after they were married Mr. Adams was called to service in World War I.
Nicholas and Mary had three children, Carmella, William and Keith. Their two sons William and Keith served in World War II.Mary was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and served at County Secretary and treasurer.
She was the last living child of William and Anna Pint. Her parents preceded her in death along with 5 brothers; Leo, Frank, Albert, Clement and Edward; and 4 sisters; Frances (Mrs. Hans Hanson); Laura (Sister Mary Salome); Carmella and Mildred who both died in infancy.
Survivors include: her husband, 3 children; Carmella (Mrs. Ben Indra); William and Keith and their children.
Burial was in the Visitation Catholic Cemetery, Stacyville.
