Eldie Richardson

OSAGE, IOWA - Funeral services for Eldie K. Richardson, 77, will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. He died of a heart attack at his home in Waterloo Thursday evening.

Born in Mitchell County, he was graduated from Osage High School and was employed by the Illinois Central Railroad 43 years. He retired in 1952 and lived in Osage until moving to Waterloo last August.

Surviving are his wife, the former Sadie Benton; a daughter, Mrs. John (Neve) Medicka, Waterloo; a son, Edgar, Maywood, Calif.; 11 grandchildren.

ELDIE K. RICHARDSON

Eldie K. Richardson, 77, of 145 W. Dale St., died at his home at 7:30 p.m. Thursday of coronary occlusion.

He was born August 10, 1887, in Mitchell County, to Edgar and Julia Maxham Richardson. On November 23, 1915, he married Sadie Benton in Cedar Rapids. They moved to Waterloo in 1923. He retired in 1952 as a write-up man with the Illinois Central Railroad where he had been a car foreman in Dubuque and a car inspector in Waterloo.

Survivors include his widow, one son, Edgar, May wood, California; one daughter, Mrs. John Madicka, 933 Reed St.; and one grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

The body was taken from the O'Keefe and Towne funeral Home to the Champion Funeral Home in Osage, where funeral arrangements are pending.
