Funeral services for Oscar G. Rachut, 55, who died at the Mitchell County Home Friday, January 22, were held Tuesday, January 26 at St. John's Lutheran church, Rock Township, with the Rev. Elmer Jacobs officiating.

Oscar G. Rachut was born in Newburg township December 31, 1909, the son of Albert and Minnie (Feldt) Rachut. He was baptized January 23, 1910 by the Rev. G. Bischoff and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran chuch April 5, 1925 by the Rev J. Gemaehlich. He lived on a farm southwest of St. Ansgar, and attended the nearby rural school.

Survivors include two brothers, Arthur of St. Ansgar and Wilmer of Osage; also five nieces and nephews.

Interment was at the Immanuel Lutheran cemetery, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Jacobs in charge of the committal services.
