FUNERAL
WEDNESDAYMrs. Minerva (May) Green, 95, a resident of the Salsbury Baptist Home, died Sunday morning at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.
Services for Mrs. Green will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Springston, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Stillwater Cemetery northeast of Floyd.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Monday and until 11 a.m. Wednesday and then at the church.
Minerva May Vance Green was born March 24, 1879, at Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin. At the age of 19 she moved to the Floyd County area. She was married to William Henry Green on February 23, 1895. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Donald of Garden Grove, California; and five daughters: Mrs. Ruby Reed, Marble Rock, Mrs. Coral Cross, Charles City, Mrs. Edna Coburn, Garden Valley, California, Mrs. Billie Reno, Onyx, California, and Mrs. Marian Meyer, Ionia; and sisters, Cordellia Barlow and Edith Reynolds, both of Wisconsin. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
