Mrs. C. Arickx dies at Osage; Rites Wednesday

Osage – Mrs. Charles Arickx, 77, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Boerjan, where she had spent the winter. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Rosary will be said Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home.

Born Erma Vergate, July 24, 1882, at Aersele, Belgium, she was married there, January 7, 1909. The family lived in the Mitchell vicinity 40 years.

Surviving are five daughters; Mrs. Del Lievrouw and Mrs. Frank Boerjan, both of Osage; Mrs. Cyril Heydeman, Colona, Ill.; Mrs. Lawrence Moeykens and Mrs. Russell Michels, both of Austin; three sons, Frank, Osage; Raymond, Mitchell; Joseph, Floyd; a brother and two sisters; 30 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1959, a son who was killed at Pearl Harbor, and a daughter.
